Northside Hospital Hosts Community Blood Drives Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood, according to the American Red Cross. More than 38,000 blood donations are needed every day. In response to this ongoing need, Northside Hospital hosts community blood drives throughout the year at each of its hospitals in Atlanta, Forsyth and Cherokee.
