Swimming with Sharks
Posted 3/23/2010 5:52:00 AM
No, it is not a metaphor of some kind. It is actually what I will be doing this Thursday. I am soooooooo excited! Recently, I had the opportunity to meet Rob Arnold who is the owner of Atlanta Scuba. He is THE MAN! This past weekend, Rob got me certified as a scuba diver and it is one of the coolest things I have ever done.
If you have never done it, you have to! There is no greater peace than you will feel that you feel being below the water. No cell phones, emails, screaming kids, no anything except peace. I love it.
So since I am certified now to be a scuba diver, I will be going to swim with the whale sharks and all the other sharks at the Georgia Aquarium this Thursday. I'm not gonna lie, it is a little frightening but I have been there ...

Another week in the life
Posted 7/14/2009 7:00:00 AM
Another beautiful week in the life of the Cindy and Ray show. Show life is good. We are all always tired but that is what expected when you get up at 3 am for work. :)
Our puppy PJ has been sick but we took him to Dr. Best yesterday in Kennesaw who is awesome vet!! He has tons of experience and really took the time with me to explain what was wrong with PJ. It happened to be a bot-fly larvae infection in his neck. He got a shot of penecillin and some anitbiotics so i hope he is feeling better today!
All the other pets are fine. Agatha, our parrot is talking more and more everyday. She is the best bird in the world. When she gets excited, she screams WOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! It's hilarious!
So, the show is good, home life is good. Overall, no complaints. I will ...
Malaria or Swine Flu.....hmmmmm...not sure.

So I finally got back from Honduras this week after a huge ordeal at the airport. I got back almost 2 days late but I'm home.
Its now Friday and a couple days ago I started to feel kinda icky. Last night, I took Nyquil and got some sleep. Too much sleep. Woke up really late for work and you know that is the most horrible feeling ever! I hate it.
The show went really well today and now i am home and looking forward to getting some more sleep till I start to feel better. Glad its the weekend. I wish everyone a great weekend and am looking forward to Monday!
A Fond Farewell...

I just watched the sun set over the warm Honduran Caribbean ocean for a while and I got kinda sad. I don't know when we will be able to come back here but it has been a rush!
From eating Iguana and hunting for crabs for dinner to relaxing on the beach with a cool drink in my hand to having a run in with the police and almost getting in trouble. What a blast!!!
I will miss Julio. He is a great kid and needs people like Mel and i to help him. The conditions out here are ROUGH! Not what we are used to at all. I am excited to come home and see my Cindy and Ray. I have missed them so much! I also get to see my animals tomorrow night which is going to be great.
I know they have missed us and wondered why ...
The Green Flash...
Posted 6/13/2009 7:30:00 PM
The second the sun goes down here, you have to look at the horizon at that very second and you can see the Green Flash every now and then. I saw it tonight and it is amazing. It is a bright green flash of light immediately at the point where the sun is down for the day. Very cool!
48 hours from now, we will be landing at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport and be on our way back to Kennesaw where I will be very happy to see all of our babies and then I will go to sleep to be awake at 3am to go back to work. It has been quite and amazing trip which I will remember for the rest of my days.
I will miss it here but I miss our babies and I miss my job so it our departure will be bitter-sweet! I am looking forward ...
La Vida Buena...

So that is what they say here when life is good and life was good today. We went out deep sea fishing and we caught a fish they call a Wahu that was nearly three feet long. We also caught a Tuna. We are about to eat the Tuna raw right now! I am so excited. Mel is fixing it right now and I am very excited. It is hard to get fresher than straight out of the Caribbean Sea to your plate.
We went with this guy named Hartley (cool name, right) out to the deep sea beyond the reef and spent a couple hours out there. It is amazing. It was brutal as a couple of the tuna we caught, while they were on the line, got caught by other fish so all we reeled in were half eaten fish. Wierd. Circle of life, right?
I miss the ...
Interesting Day
Posted 6/11/2009 7:36:00 PM
I need to keep this short because I will lose internet any minute. :( So, today was ok. We had to go to the police station here in Roatan because the police stole Julio's Ipod that we got him for a gift because one of them wanted it for themselves. I got some video of the police station and the jail which I will send over later.
When you are here you get lulled into a false sense of security but it can't fool you. WHERE WE ARE IS DANGEROUS! DANGEROUS! After 3 hours at the police station, we went fishing and caught some fish for dinner. I am excited still to be here but I am alos excited to be home. It is hard to put a price on your safety.
Anyway, kinda bummed about today's events. Hopefully tomorrow is better!
Have a good night everyone!
