Reward fund established in Silver Comet Trail attack

The Paulding County Sheriff's Office has set up a reward fund in hopes it will generate leads about who viciously attacked a jogger on the Silver Comet Trail.

42-year-old Tina Waddell was severely beaten when she was found by a passing bicyclist on July 29. No arrests have been made.

Authorities hope a reward will prompt a response from someone who knows something about the attack.

Waddell is still in a great deal of pain and hasn't been able to give detectives many clues about a suspect, other than describing him as a white male with dark hair.

The reward fund has been established at the Bank of North Georgia in Hiram.
