Brilliant! Someone's developed a shatterproof phone screen

Having a shattered screen on your phone is no fun.

Scientists say they've come up with a way to create shatterproof screens for glass that still allow use of the phone's touchscreen features.

Lead researcher Yu Zhu and his team from the University of Akron say they've created a transparent electrode material that would work well as a shatterproof phone screen.

Zhu says, "The annoying problem of cracked smart phone screens may be solved once and for all with this flexible touch screen."
