What were your grades like in school? New research finds that your high school GPA is not a good indicator of how much money you will make in the workplace.
U.S. researchers found that a woman with a high school GPA of 4.0 is worth half as much as a man with a high school GPA of 2.0, and that a woman with a 2.0 is worth the same as a man with a 0.0.
Researchers note that it doesn't seem logical, as a high GPA likely indicates a person's good work ethic and intelligence. Researchers add that the same gender gap can be seen in higher education as well-- as women who have associate's degrees make less than men with vocational degrees.
