I have two kids now and navigating parenting can be a rewarding (and sometimes challenging) experience! Follow along with me as I journey through motherhood. OH PINTEREST, HOW I LOVE THEE...

So I kinda LOVE social media! I work on the STAR94 Mornings Facebook page , MY Facebook page, STAR94 Twitter,  MY Twitter, STAR94 Pinterest, MY Pinterest, STAR94 Instagram and MY Instagram. Sigh! I think that covers them all! lol These are not only things I love to do, but things I get to do because of my job! I am waiting for them to actually figure out that this isn't actually work to me but something I truly enjoy! Oh AND they pay me! hee hee I definitely feel Blessed! I heart my job!!

Right now, I would say my fave is Pinterest! (with Instagram a close second!) I have learned many things from Pinterest. For Valentine's Day for example, I helped my daughter with a V-day craft idea and then even found a school craft project for my husband and I to do with her class. (We were room parents for the V-day class party.) For the Superbowl, I wanted to try out a few recipes I saw on Pinterest, so I made chicken wrapped bacon and Buffalo chicken rolls. I wanted to show you how they turned out and I can admit that they turned out pretty yummy too! See pics below!

I'm sure you have heard me talk about the organization Wellspring Living as well as the issue of Sex Trafficking in Atlanta. It is something I learned about a year and a half ago while we were planning our wedding. Our wedding photographer Andy Brophy, opened our eyes to it and now my husband Eric and I can't stop talking about it. We talk about it because so many people (just like how we used to be) don't even know that this problem exists right in our own backyard. I think the thing that really threw me is how prevolent it is outside the perimeter, ya know...OTP! This isn't just a "downtown Atlanta" thing. Can you believe that Atlanta is one of the major hubs for human trafficking and childhood sex exploitation in the United States. Ugh!

Cindy Simmons Carnell was born and raised in Los Angeles. She made her way to Atlanta in 2003 via a six year stop in Nashville. She loves her most important role in life as a Mommy and devotes much time to her seven year-old daughter Lily Jane and her newborn baby girl Luna James. Cindy supports many charities including fighting sex-trafficking with WellspringLiving.org, helping young women diagnosed with Breast Cancer through the Young Survival Coalition, co-hosting the annual Childhood Autism Candlelight Ball the last four years with Heather Branch as well as working with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and the American Cancer Society . Cindy is a three year Breast Cancer Survivor and lives in the Brookhaven area with her new husband Eric and their family which includes their little wiener dog Winchester. Cindy loves to attend Buckhead Church and is obsessed with mommy blogging, pop culture and Taco Bell!
