Helloooooooo!

Busy busy week so far. My daughter Lily is turning five tomorrow and we are trying to get ready for her Birthday party this weekend. We are keeping it very low-key this year and just having a few of our close friends over to the house for some cake and a pinata. Yes, she INSISTED on a pinata! lol At first she said she wanted a Princess party so we went to Party City to get princess stuff but she ended up picking out a Unicorn pinata and then Cinderella decorations. PS...Party City is having a Mack daddy sale on paper goods. Yay! So anyway, Eric and I spent the weekend running errands as well as getting the house all tidied up.

Eric and I also went on a date to see Twilight/Eclipse at the new Studio Movie Grill on Holcomb Bridge which was very fun. We haven't had ...

Guess what I got???!!

I did it!!! I got my AWESOME new Pink Scooter. I have wanted a Pink scooter for MONTHS now and once I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer I figured pink seemed to be so super fitting too...and it is, it's perfect!

Shortly after I was diagnosed, my wonderful boyfriend Eric ("40") took me for a surprise afternoon of scooter rental riding. He wanted to do something to make me smile and wanted me try it out since I couldn't stop talking about getting my "pink scooter". So we went to Twist N Scoot on Piedmont Road and chatted with Bill Gornto over there and he couldn't have been nicer. He told me everything I needed to know about being safe and sent us on our way scootin". What a wonderful day it was...we had SO much fun driving around and I didn't think about BC once. It was a great ...

So the last time I blogged I was so full of sadness with the news that my friend Channie, her husband Jeff, their daughter Jade (Jade-ster as we call her!) had lost their sweet Logan. Then days after that blog we also lost Grandma Jeannine (or Memere Jeannine as she was known by too). It has been a sad sad time. It feels like the last week has been the longest of my life. Never in a million years could I have imagined something so heart wrenching like this. Nor could I have imagined the amount of pain and sadness I would feel for my friend and the loss my heart has been feeling since last week. This ache in my heart...I just can't seem to let go of. .

We traveled to Nashville Friday after the show to be with Channie and her family for Logan's funeral. It was such a beautiful service. Our ...

"I don't have words, only deep deep penetrating sorrow"

These are the words one of my best friends in the world Channie had to write today. Why? Because of a terrible and tragic loss she had to suffer today. Something hopefully none of us will never know. The loss of a child.

I met Chandra LaPlume when I moved to Nashville in 1996. She and I have shared a bond like sisters since that time. Maybe separated by a state once I moved to Atlanta, but never ever separated by our hearts. Years later, when Channie met Jeff Pereira, I knew I loved him too. I felt that immeasurable love as I stood pregnant and part of their beautiful wedding day five years ago last month. Channie and Jeff have played a very important part in my life. My heart. Channie was with me for the birth of my daughter Lily ...
