The Avengers...where have I been?

Ok, so here's the deal. I have not really seen a whole bunch of those comic book movies: Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, X-Men, Green Lantern...well, you get the idea right? They have just never really appealed to me. To everyone else in the world it seems yes, but not me. lol HOWEVER...this weekend, my Hubster Eric and I saw The Avengers and I actually really enjoyed it! It was action filled, funny and the special effects were ah-mazing to say the least! So now I am totally in! That being said, I also have a new celebrity crush. "Loki"...aka Tom HIddleston. Weird I know, that I would like the bad guy but I did. lol Anyway, what other comic book movies were your fave? Shoot me an email and let me know and I will get them on my rental list fo sho! Thanks! cindy@star94.com  xo ♥ Cindy :o)

Hey new Moms! Got questions?

So I love to read!!! I buy tons of books with the best of intentions...as in to read them. See, this is the problem. I love to read but I never have the time. I have about five books sitting on my nightstand and I haven't had one second to read any of them! Seriously!  I am a big fan of the website COOL MOM PICS and COOL MOM TECH. In fact, Kristen Chase from both of those websites is a frequent guest on our morning show.  Recently, I saw that COOL MOM PICKS posted this new book called "How to Rock Your Baby". When I saw the post, I thought "Wow, that would have been a cool book to have read when I first became a parent!" So I thought, I am gonna post it here for all of the new mommies to check out and if they have the time, READ it. lol So here ya go! Enjoy! Oh and thanks for always having cool stuff COOL MOM PICKS! ♥ Cindy :o)

WEDDING PICTURES

I think I passed out from happiness when I saw this AH-mazing blog from our wedding photographer Andy Brophy of One Nine Images! The best photgrapher EVER!!!!  Andy wrote it for his LOVE GIVES WAY project that supports a cause near and dear to Andy, mine and Eric's hearts...fighting child sex-trafficking and an organization called WellspringLiving. Included in this blog is what we did with Andy and our wedding for his LOVE GIVES WAY project to benefit Wellspring Living.

He wrote the sweetest piece on Love Gives Way and our wedding and of course took THE most amazing pictures I have ever seen! I feel like I am looking at a movie when I look at these pictures...but no, it is totally MY wedding day. I am SO Blessed that Andy is in our life and so incredibly lucky that we have this photographic journey of the best night of our lives.

Andy Brophy, I heart YOU! Thank you for giving me these beautiful pictures of my family and my friends. I will forever think of you and thank you in my heart when I look at these pictures.

Cindy Simmons teams up with Ray Mariner to make the morning commute downright entertaining. Her path to the Cindy & Ray Show is truly a cross-country journey from the West Coast to Atlanta.

Cindy’s "valley girl" accent is authentic – she was born and raised in LA. Her career started as an off-air staffer at KIIS-FM and Cindy worked as a Producer for the syndicated country radio show After Midnite . After moving to Nashville and working for the legendary Fender Guitar Company, Cindy became part of the WQZQ/"The Party" morning show before leaving for Atlanta’s Star 94 in 2003.

She loves her most important role in life as a Mommy and devotes much time to her six year-old daughter Lily Jane and she currently has a little peanut growing in her belly due in October! Cindy supports many charities, including helping young women diagnosed with Breast Cancer through the Young Survival Coalition and being an advocate for fighting sex-trafficking for WellspringLiving.org. Cindy is a very recent Breast Cancer Survivor and lives in the Brookhaven area with her new hubster Eric and their little wiener dog named Winchester. Cindy loves to attend Buckhead Church with her family and oh, make sure to look for her riding around town on her pink scooter!
