A few weeks ago, Eric and I went with Casey from our show and a few friends to Six Flags for the day and had a BLAST! This was mine and Lily Bug's first time and boy did we enjoy every single moment!!! We were there for eight straight hours of fun!! I can't remember when I had that much fun lately. We walked, ate, went on so many fun rides and the weather was perfect. We went on that big raft ride that seats like 13 people and we got SOAKED and Lily loved it so much she wanted to go on again. Of course I was covering her when we ...

Ovation Cell Therapy

Very rarely will I dedicate a whole blog to one single product but when I find something I love SO much (anything Rachel Zoe related usually-lol) or I know that something works, then I want to shout it out to the world!! I had heard these commericals for Ovation Cell Therapy on STAR 94 before but didn't think alot about them at the time because they didn't really apply to me. I was naturally Blessed with thick and curly (yes naturally curly hair that I never wear that way) and I have never had any problems losing my hair. Until BREAST CANCER 2010. hahahahha

So I called the folks at Ovation Cell Therapy and said "Ok, what is the deal with this cell treatment? I am about to start Chemotherapy and they told me I am going to lose ALL of my hair. HELP!!!!!" So I ordered the three ...

Fire Depts and Breast Cancer...Thanks Gainseville and Hall County!

"Gainesville Fire and Hall County Fire personnel are selling shirts in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month October 2010. More so than any book I have ever read. It stuck with me so much that when I found out that they were making a movie out of it, I thought...THIS I will have to see! So that I did. Heather Branch and I went to see it and we LOVED it. I cried pretty much on and off for the whole 2 1/2 hours and it was worth every tear. It was so beautifully written, the scenery was unbelievable and there were so many moments that hit home for me. It's not just a chick flick either.. It's for everyone who has had any doubts about anything in life. It's about learning about yourself and reminding your head and heart to take the time to stop and smell the roses in life! I know I would ...

Friends are the Family you choose!

Someone once said, "Friends are the Family you choose." And that could not be anymore true when it comes to the friends in my life. I have had friends come and go, friends go and come back and friends go and never come back and all of that is ok because the one thing I have come to realize is the people who are in your life are there because God put them there. As far as my real Family...I adore them, as in I really love them so much it hurts. I just wish I could move my parents and my brother all to the same state so we could see each other all of the time. Alas for now at least, that is not possible. So in the meantime, my small group of friends I have are my Family. And for them I am truly thankful.

I slept terribly last night. Stayed up to watch the 3 hours of my life I will never get back called The Bachelorette, had crazy dreams and then got awake and couldn't go back to sleep. Oy. I am going to bed when Lily does tonight that's for sure. Seriously.

Round two of chemo, shots and Dr's appts down...four to go. Oh yah and my hair has started falling out. It happened the morning of Lily's Birthday party which was kinda traumatizing. I thought I was prepared but I guess I really wasn't. After a morning of dealing with that, getting ready for a few friends to come over and then cleaning up...I hadn't thought about it again. I guess I just needed a few hours ...

My baby turns 5, Regis & Kelly TOP 100 and it's a chemo week!

Helloooooooo!

Busy busy week so far. My daughter Lily is turning five tomorrow and we are trying to get ready for her Birthday party this weekend. We are keeping it very low-key this year and just having a few of our close friends over to the house for some cake and a pinata. Yes, she INSISTED on a pinata! lol At first she said she wanted a Princess party so we went to Party City to get princess stuff but she ended up picking out a Unicorn pinata and then Cinderella decorations. PS...Party City is having a Mack daddy sale on paper goods. Yay! So anyway, Eric and I spent the weekend running errands as well as getting the house all tidied up.

Eric and I also went on a date to see Twilight/Eclipse at the new Studio Movie Grill on Holcomb Bridge which was very fun. We haven't had ...

Guess what I got???!!

I did it!!! I got my AWESOME new Pink Scooter. I have wanted a Pink
scooter for MONTHS now and once I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer I
figured pink seemed to be so super fitting too...and it is, it's
perfect!

Shortly after I was diagnosed, my wonderful boyfriend Eric ("40")
took me for a surprise afternoon of scooter rental riding. He wanted to
do something to make me smile and wanted me try it out since I couldn't
stop talking about getting my "pink scooter". So we went to Twist N Scoot on
Piedmont Road and chatted with Bill Gornto over there and he couldn't have
been nicer. He told me everything I needed to know about being safe and
sent us on our way scootin". What a wonderful day it was...we had SO
much fun driving around and I didn't think about BC once. It was a

Then days after that blog we also lost Grandma Jeannine (or Memere Jeannine as she was known by too). It has been a sad sad time. It feels like the last week has been the longest of my life. Never in a million years could I have imagined something so heart wrenching like this. Nor could I have imagined the amount of pain and sadness I would feel for my friend and the loss my heart has been feeling since last week. This ache in my heart...I just can't seem to let go of. .

We traveled to Nashville Friday after the show to be with Channie and her family for Logan's funeral. It was such a beautiful service.
